SWUA offers a wonderful opportunity to support our youth in their endeavors to join the life circle of education towards security in today 's world. The Slovenian Women 's Union of America Scholarship Foundation begs your support in funding these young adults and adult programs to secure a future of interest in community, church , state and country and quality leadership in their lives.

The SWUA Scholarship program offers scholarships to our high school seniors to pursue their college choice and programs, to college students, those currently in college, and to adults who wish to pursue a continuing education program to enhance their career, develop a new career, or to finalize an interrupted education due to extenuating circumstances. The SWUA wishes to support our young and adult members to remind them that SWUA will assist our Slovenian descendants, while at the same time let them learn of their heritage, whether it be of direct, one-half, one quarter, one eighth, or one sixteenth descendent status and to realize that their background was derived from a country which survived hundreds of years of turmoil, wars, destruction, starvation, loss of land, and poverty, The nature of the Slovenian was to survive, and today it has saved all of its land, independence, and tradition.

The legacy of SWU of America is to preserve the culture that our great grandparents, grandparents and parents have tried to maintain and pass down to us. Let 's help to respect their heritage, and our future with their tradition, the tradition of honor, respect for love and life, our Christian principals, and determination for progress and success.

Your support in donating to the Scholarship Fund is critical. We look to the membership and friends to assist in developing and build a program that will give assistance to those family members we treasure.

Please consider making a donation in honor of a family member or friend, or in memory of a loved one. Donations of $1,000 or more will be designated with the scholarships awarded in the honoree 's or deceased 's name. Donations are tax exempt. However, no matter what the amount, all donations are welcome, sincerely appreciated and acknowledged. Every donation, large or small will help reach our goal, and give a support to any applicant.
