Scholarships are available through the generous contributions and memorials from members and friends. Awards are given with the hope that Slovenian culture will continue to be promoted through its recipients. Donations are needed! SLOVENIAN WOMEN 'S UNION SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION AWARDS

$2,000 Scholarships available for 2010-2011. Deadline to file is March 1, 2011. All college students, freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending college during 2010-2011 may apply. Three year paid membership in SWUA is only requirement. Those who have received one SWUA Scholarship in the past may reapply. A student may revceive two SWUA Scholarships total.

$500 Continuing Education Awards.  Applicants must have held membership in the Slovenian Women 's Union for three years prior to application, entering a college, university, or technical school either part time in the fall of 2011.

Adults who have been out of school and are returning to school part time to update their skills or enter a new career are also eligible for this award.
