Pr’ Katr in Dovje, welcomes Slovenian Women’s Union. This beautiful village which is located below Triglav Mountain in the heart of the Julian Alps welcomed the Slovenian Women’s Union and presented Carol Ryba, Vice President of Home Office with a lovely gift and thanked us for coming. We visited a typical renewed house where we were served lunch, potica and enjoyed Slovenian music. A good time was had by everyone. We also had time for shopping in their farm products shop. The idea of reviving tourism in this rural area began in 1993. With the cooperation of the Integrated Rural Development and Village Renewal (IRDVR) Program and the help of the Kranjska Gora community, the local residents are beginning to see their dreams come true.
